Biotecca is an Italian restaurant offering "Bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine beefsteak)" and the innards stew such as "Fiorentina" or "Lampredotto".  They are very new in Kamakura.  We named our house "Biotecca" because we stock Bio-wines and use the Kamakura vegetable.


  Yakiniku (BBQ) or Motsu-Nabe (hot pot) are known as the Japanese Innards dishes, but we serve them in the style of Italian cooking.


  Home-made Bacon, Hamburger steak (Ground beef steak), Sirloin steak are also popular among the local customers.


  We stick to using the good ingredients.  We procure the beef for Bistecca and the deer meat for Gibier mainly from Iwate prefecture or Hokkaido.


 We carefully select the matured beef and the meat of deer and birds when we import them.  As for the vegetable, we use the locally grown Kamakura-Yasai (vegetables) that is famous as the local farming product.


  Beef for Bistecca, both Japanese and imported, are well aged before being broiled over charcoal.  We recommend our customers to try them simply with salt so that they could enjoy the original taste of beef.


  We arrange the tables inside the house and on the deck.  Deck tables with a stove in winter were more popular than we had expected.


  I, the owner chef, had gained my careers at some restaurants in Tokyo.  I worked as a chef for DEAN & DELUCA (a food & Cafe Roppongi branch), and fulfilled the responsibility as the executive chef at an Italian restaurant in Ebisu, Tokyo.  I travelled around Italy visiting many restaurants to learn the genuine taste at that time.  Then, I opened Biotecca in 2014 in Hase, Kamakura.


  Thanks to the customers, our restaurant is being known as a good Italian restaurant.  We are also awaiting the visit of overseas travelers and residents.
